Begun in 1969 in a Unitarian church, the Salt Lake Acting Company is now Utah’s premiere theatre for contemporary American plays. In the nearly 45 years since its beginning, SLAC has produced and presented over 200 Regional Premieres of Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwrights, and has especially focused on developing and producing new, thought-provoking plays. It averages five-seven shows per season, including the annual production of the bold Saturday’s Voyeur. SLAC caters to a broadminded, upscale demographic.
